Our January Coffee Chat featured information for families on the HCS Strategic Plan for Elementary, Grade level and Classroom Hornet Meetings, ESE and Gifted Program review and discussion, STEAM Alive, Family Engagement updates, including a review of new math and reading resources in the Family Resource Room, Family Learning Links on the website review, Upcoming events and the announcement of our January Family of the Month. 

This morning we welcomed our new 2nd semester families with a fun overview of life at HES. We shared information on our School, Programs we offer, including ESE, Gifted, Info on the HCS Strategic Plan as it relates to elementary, Family Engagement including our Title I Compacts, Parent & Family Engagement Plan and upcoming Parent/Student/Teacher conferences, a quick review of our Quick Links to Learning Parent Page, and a little about our PTO. 

November Coffee Chat featured Winter MAP information, Parent Engagement updates including Family Engagement Month info and tips for celebrating family engagement outside of school. Our Family of the Month was announced and our STEAM program was highlighted.

This month we shared our School Improvement Goals for 2022-23 as well as our MAP scores.  Dr. St. Aime stressed transparency as we all work together to increase our student's academic success.  Ms. Lunn shared Family Engagement updates and  reviewed our Family Engagement Plan and Title I Parent/School Compact. Attendees were asked to read and give input. Literacy Tips were shared by Coach Skaggs and Coach Hill shared ideas to help Fact Fluency at home.
